Welcome To Jen's Page

Jennifer, Madison, & Easton

Itís been a very long time since Iíve updated my little corner of this website! Life continues to be a great adventure as an air-force wife and mother to Madison. The past year has been filled with emotional challenges and wonderful moments of joy. Steve was deployed to Iraq for six months, leaving me to go to bat as a single parent. We are so blessed this is the first (and hopefully only) time he has had to go over to the big sandbox. I am so very proud of the work he did over there to help keep all of our men safe. He made it home safely to us the day after our historic election day. Unfortunately, shortly after Steve left home, I lost my beloved Grandma Ann very unexpectedly. I miss her terribly, but I know she is at peace with our Lord. I think I will miss her great hugs and sage advice about being a military wife most of all. You know how the saying goes: what doesnít kill you makes you stronger. That is certainly my anthem for the year. By the grace of God and the unwavering support of my family and friends, I survived.

On the joyous side of things, I am going to be an auntie three times this year!! Both of my sister-in-laws are welcoming little girls this year and my very best friend from college, Mindy, is expecting a boy. I am just beside myself with excitement and canít wait to do some spoiling! Also, my best friend from high-school, Krista got married in September. I was so honored to be a part of everything and to see her so happy was incredible. Youíll see the pictures from that blessed event on my page, she looked gorgeous!

A source of everyday joy in my life is, of course, Madison. She is full of spirit and spunk, itís hard to believe sheís 4 already! Time really does fly by in a blink. She loves going to preschool and is constantly surprising me with everything she is learning. Next year, itís off to kindergarten and she canít wait (even though I can). While Madison is at preschool, Iíve been working as an interior designer in the very interesting and challenging world of kitchen & bath remodeling. It has certainly broadened my horizons, to say the least.

Now, Iím looking forward to our next adventure, courtesy of the US Air Force in Colorado Springs, CO. Itís a familiar place to Steve and I that we canít wait to introduce Madison to. Sheís never lived in a state with four seasons, so it should be interesting.
